Mayor Acker called the meeting to order at 6 p.m. and acknowledged that City Council meets on the traditional land of Treaty 6 territory.

On behalf of Council, Mayor Acker shared appreciation for the outstanding job that all the City of Spruce Grove Staff did on the grand opening of Heavy Metal Place. 

Councillor Carter proclaimed May 19 - 25, 2025 as Community Disability Services Professional Appreciation Week.

Mayor Acker called the Public Hearing to order at 6:05 p.m. on C-1391-25 - Land Use Bylaw Amendment - Redistricting - Fenwyck Stage 9.

David Towle, Senior Municipal Planner, presented on C-1391-25 - Land Use Bylaw Amendment - Redistricting - Fenwyck Stage 9.

Coralie Volker, Select Engineering, and Eric Sehn, Avilla Developments, attended to speak to this item.

There were no written or other verbal submissions received.

Council thanked everyone for attending and speaking to this Public Hearing.

Councillor Houston introduced the Cost Analysis of Double Sided Banners on McLeod Avenue.

The following motion was approved on the Consent Agenda:

  • THAT the Governance and Priorities Committee meeting scheduled for Monday, May 20, 2025 be cancelled.

Councillor Report updates were provided for information on Boards and Committees attended. 

Councillor Houston announced that he will not be running in the next Municipal Election and shared some highlights from all the years spent on Council.
